CHAIR MASSAGE
A short massage, typically lasting from 10-15 minutes, and can either be performed in a public area or in an unused conference room.  The recipient is seated in a specially designed ergonomic massage chair and the massage is done through the clothing.  The focus is on key areas of tension in the back, neck, shoulders, arms, and hands.  Benefits include:

  • Lower anxiety
  • Increased circulation
  • Boosted immune system
  • Lower blood pressure
  • Relief of muscle pains and headaches
  • Decreased stress
  • More energy

Chair massage is an excellent first step in creating a comprehensive wellness program. Five 10-minute chair massages can be performed each hour. Click here for chair massage FAQ’s and contact us for more information about bringing chair massage and our other wellness services to your office.

Although it is frequently taught on a machine called the Reformer, in a corporate setting Pilates is just as effective when taught on the mat. Yoga mats can be provided at no additional cost.

ACUPUNCTURE

We offer packages of both group and individual sessions lasting 45 minutes.  If a particular employee has an aversion to needles, ear seeds and/or acupressure can also be utilized to achieve similar results.

Group Acupuncture is acupuncture done in a communal setting with between 2 to 12 individuals.  Patients are fully clothed and can either sit on a chair or lay on a yoga mat.  A brief health history is taken with each patient and acupuncture needles are placed on the ear (aricular points can be used to treat the entire body).  Group Acupuncture is an easy introduction to acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, and a good way to experience the treatment for the first time.  The group setting also minimizes cost and lessens the number of needles for those who are apprehensive about receiving treatment.  The sessions can also be organized by intention – for example, Stress Relief, Fertility, Weight Loss, etc.  COST FOR ONE 45-MIN SESSION FOR UP TO 12 PEOPLE (SPACE PERMITTING): $40 PER PATIENT

Individual Acupuncture is acupuncture conducted one-on-one between the practitioner and the patient.  Patients can be partially unclothed and are usually laying on a table.  A thorough health history is taken and acupuncture needles are placed at various points on the body, including ears, face, hands, feet, and various meridian points.  Individual Acupuncture is for those who are already familiar with the practice.  It is not as cost-effective as Group Acupuncture due to the 1:1 practitioner/patient ratio and the greater number of needles that are placed.  COST VARIES FROM $85-$120 ACCORDING TO THE NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS
